Date & Time:
January 7th / 11:00 AM Pacific Time (US)
You missed out!
In this workshop you will learn how to use violet leaf infused oil in skincare and topical medicinal balms and formulas.
What you’ll learn in this workshop:
Meet Violet (Viola odorata)
Here in Portland, Oregon in the Pacific Northwest, violets are one of our first harvests in the spring. Violet leaves, especially early in the season contain valuable compounds that we can use for skincare and topical healing.
For our violet infused oil we use the leaves rather than the flowers to make a deep green medicinal oil. Violet leaf oil is cooling, anti-inflammatory and has a lovely herbal scent. The anti-inflammatory properties come from the plant sterols which we will get into in the upcoming workshop. But violet is more than medicinal, in skincare these same properties are wonderful in face and body oils and in your skincare emulsions and formulations.
